The cost for the space is approximately $592.25/month ($0.69/square foot) and includes power, water, garbage and recycling, common use areas including conference room. Tenant is responsible for phone and internet service. Copy machine is available on-site with a $0.05 per page cost.

Qualified occupants will be evaluated for, at the minimum, the following criteria:
· Mission of program
· Potential for collaboration with other campus programs
· Funding sources and stability of program
· Mix of direct/support services
· Numbers served compatible with campus physical makeup

The office space is located alongside Healthy Beginnings, Central Oregon Mediation and Central Oregon Legal Aid. Other campus programs include KIDS Center, Saving Grace, Money Management International, Rimrock Trails, Women’s Resource Center of Central Oregon, Deschutes County Mental Health and Deschutes Children’s Foundation.

Recent evidence shows there are clear benefits to collaborative work spaces at nonprofit centers. To briefly sum up the findings, nonprofit centers “offer substantial advantages over traditional real estate models, yield increased effectiveness for resident organizations, and generate tangible positive impacts for consumers of these organizations’ services, surrounding communities and society at large.” You can read the full summary here.

For more information or to see the office space, contact Kim McNamer at 541-388-3101 or kim@deschuteschildrensfoundation.org.
